Our first Spirit Week kicks off next week, and we can’t wait to see everyone show their Rattler pride! Please check out the attached flyer for the daily themes. Students who participate by dressing up will earn PBIS points in their first-period class.
Next week will be full of fun and energy with Spirit Week, our home cross country meet, and the Back to School Dance. On top of these events, we also have after-school programs, clubs, and athletics up and running. We encourage every student to get involved—because the more connected you are to school life, the more successful your middle school journey will be.

Can you believe we’ve already been in school for a month? Time is flying by! This week marks the close of our first progress report. For families new to RMS, this means we are halfway through the quarter. If your student has a D or F in any class, they will receive a printed progress report to bring home next week. Remember, Infinite Campus is always the best place to check the most accurate and up-to-date information on your student’s grades and attendance.
We’re also excited to officially kick off our after-school programs this week! From athletics and clubs to intervention programs and enrichment opportunities, our campus will be buzzing with activity. All the details can be found in this week’s newsletter.

I can truly say that this has been one of the best starts to a school year I have ever experienced! Our students have impressed me every single day with their kindness, respect, and enthusiasm for learning. Parents—thank you for entrusting us with your amazing children. They are the heart of what makes RMS such a special place.
Last week was such a blast! From Back to School Night to our very first pep rally and spirit day, the energy on campus was incredible. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many students participate in spirit days before—it was inspiring to see our Rattler pride shining so brightly!
I also want to extend a huge thank you to our families for your patience as we navigated a change in our bus pattern due to the water leak in our bus lane. I know it made pick-up and drop-off a little longer than usual, and I truly appreciate your understanding and support as we worked through it together.
